Shintaido Energy Movement with Masashi Minagawa. Following the direction of Hiroyuki Aoki, the founder of Shintaido (New Body Way), Masashi has researched and taught this martial art form for 30 years. Shintaido is internationally recognised as embodying the healing arts through movement, in ways which combine Eastern spirituality with Western creative expression. A Symphony of Love - Celebrating the power of sound & song

Voicework, shared sound and song is becoming increasingly popular
whether it’s the creation of new local choirs, voice workshops, sound
healing research, or the X Factor watched by millions every week.
The Naked Voice focuses on the full power and passion of your voice
freely expressed, without self-consciousness or fear. This new NV
performance training explores the power of shared sound, song and
silence to awaken the heart, inspired by devotional chant, sacred
mantra, deep non-judgemental listening, healing breath work, energy
movement and the magical 'seven sounds of love'. The focus of the
training will be accessing 'presence' or the true spirit of performance.

By the end of the training we will have harmonised and rehearsed a
playlist of chants and songs. Singing together in this way will quieten
the mind, open the heart and transmit the highest of human values –
harmony, co-operation and compassion, elevating the human spirit and
uniting our community beyond race or creed.

The Programme will start in March 2010, leading to a Song and Choral Festival in Dublin, 2011. The programme will run over a 1 year period, with the months of August and Jan being holiday months.

There will be an open day on Sunday March 14th sharing the vision for the training. This is very important to attend as it will set the tone and outline the aims of the training.

THOUSAND WAYS OF LIGHT ...

Chloe's incredible new CD 'Thousand Ways of Light' is available to order online now and ready for dispatch immediately. 'Thousand Ways of Light' presents an unforgettable musical journey taken, over the past twenty years, through the singing fields of my life. This new and ecstatic CD features a unique selection of music-making, including archival material, inspiring re-mixes, and soul-filled new songs. Fourteen of my favourite love songs and chant recordings are drawn here from: Inner Heat (1990) Naked Voice (1991) Devi (1994) grammy-nominated Sura (1996) Fierce Wisdom (2002) and Singing Field (2002/9). The vocal territory embraces a wide range of expression from wild 'acapella' voice, to the rich and sumptuous melodies inspired by Rumi's love poems, to the polyphonic majesty and rhythmic pulse of anthemic world chants such as "Singing Field" (re-mixed) and "Thousand Ways of Light" (inspired by the Goddess of compassion, Kuan Yin). The all-pervading presence of the sacred feminine flows through the music from beginning to end.
